Construction Update: A Shelter Taking Shape
Walls, a roof, and even a floor are coming soon to Indy’s new animal welfare facility. Aerial shots show the full scope of how far along we are and pretty soon, we’ll be moving the work inside!
What’s happening now?
In July, site utility installation continued outside the building pad and the retention wall was completed. Crews began installing exterior steel stud walls and trench drains in the kennel areas. In preparation for the slab pour, electric, data, conduits and plumbing were installed. Roofing insulation has begun and temporary power was installed to the building for lighting and construction power.
What’s next?
Utility installation will continue throughout August and into September. After exterior walls have been framed, the interior slab pour and interior masonry will begin.
Our next update will be in September!
