Construction Update: Tiles and Smiles

Despite the dumping of snow, construction continued throughout January and finishing touches are showing up everywhere inside the new home for Indianapolis Animal Care Services. 

What’s happening now?

The lobby features new tiles on the floor and, if you look waaaay up, really cool paw print lights hanging from the ceiling! Katie’s Korner is standing out with beautiful purple walls waiting for adopters to take their first family photo together.

Bathrooms are almost complete with tiles and fixtures and staff and volunteers will be thrilled to see not one, not two, but THREE brand new commercial washing machines and dryers in the kennel area.

Puppy kennels are ready to go and the Indianapolis Colts Dog Park Honoring Drake Irsay is looking ready for spring with turf and dog agility course equipment set up. 

What’s next?

Dog kennels will arrive on site in March for assembly along with office furnishings and furniture. Final touches of paint, fixtures, tile, and signage will also be installed and by April it will be time for final walk-throughs. 

The building will be open to the public in May and we can’t wait to share it with you!
