It’s a chance to let what’s left of your hair down. Reclaim your right to party. Disrupt the market with loud guitars.

It’s called Unleashed! And it’s your opportunity to shed your pinstripes, slink into your spandex, and release your inner rocker—all while supporting a great local cause.

Unleashed! is a showcase for bands of musicians employed and sponsored by Indianapolis-area businesses. It’s a fundraising event for Friends of Indy Animals, the nonprofit foundation that supports the work of Indianapolis Animal Care Services (IACS).

So consider your core musical competencies. Call that one dude in accounting with a drum kit and an understanding spouse. It’s time to stop getting down to business and just get down. And bring the family: This is an all-ages gig. It all happens:

Sunday, June 30

3 – 7 p.m.

The Biergarten at the Athenaeum

401 East Michigan Street

Downtown Indianapolis

A Few Details

  • Entry/sponsorship fee is $1,000 from your employer/business sponsor. At least one member of your band must work for your sponsor. (P.S.: We’ll promote your sponsor like crazy in social media, earned media, and at the show.)
  • We’ll provide the backline: amps, PA, drum kit, etc. Bring your axes and keyboards—and drummers, bring your sticks and cymbals—and you’re set.
  • Each band will perform a 10–12-minute set. After all entrants have played, the audience will vote for their favorite—so it’s in your best interest to get your friends, family and coworkers out to support you.
  • It’s in your best interest to rock out, too: One band will win the Judges’ Choice award, chosen by three insider mystery judges. If that’s your band, you’ll get the chance to play an encore and lord it over all your competitors.
  • 100% of proceeds from the show will go to help the animals at IACS and the caregivers who support them.
