Construction Update: Walls are up!

May is the month of speed in Indy and wow are things speeding up on the site of the new Indianapolis Animal Care Services building!

What’s happening now?

Work continues to excavate the retention pond and install utilities and the main drive and visitor parking is being prepped and graveled. The most visually exciting work is happening now that precast concrete panels are on site and being lift and set for exterior walls. In a nod to  environmental sustainability, we qualified for energy efficient rebates from AES, based on building materials.

What’s next?

Steel columns are being delivered this week and installed soon after, along with steel bar joists. Under-slab mechanical, electrical, and plumbing will follow as the steel installation is finished in each section of the building.

Our next update will be in early June!
