Construction Update: Walls up, drains down!

It’s all starting to come together! So much work for big construction projects like this happens below ground and we’re finally seeing really visible progress like kennel drains.

What’s happening now?

Throughout May, utilities continue to be installed outside the building pad and the main drive and visitor parking lot have been prepped and graveled. All pre-cast concrete wall panels have been installed along with a permanent fence along the north property line. Steel was delivered a few days ago which started the installation of steel columns and steel bar joists. For our most important residents (the animals!) trench drains in the kennel areas are easily spotted now.

What’s next?

Steel installation, bar joists and roof metal decking will continue through mid June along with under-slab plumbing installation. Next, workers will install wood blocking, and parapet framing which will lead to installing roofing materials.
