Construction Update: Raising the Roof!

Take a look at that great aerial shot of our new city animal shelter! It’s hard not to feel hopeful and excited to see it taking shape - literally.

What’s happening now?

In June, site utility installation continued outside the building pad and the precast concrete walls were caulked. By the time you’re reading this, all steel columns and roof joists will be installed and roofing insulation will be starting, followed by installing rooftop HVAC. We want our homeless pups to have the best care while they’re here, so trench drains for kennels are still being installed and should be completed this month.

What’s next?

Exterior steel stud walls are being installed later this month and the interior slab pouring will start after the exterior wall framing is complete.
