IACS is over capacity and in desperate need of adopters and foster families. If you or someone you know if looking to add a furry family member, or if you have space in your home to give a homeless pet a loving place to crash for a little while, then IACS would love to hear from you.
The shelter offers a wonderful program called “Cuddle Before You Commit” which allows families to take a shelter pet home temporarily to see how things go before the adoption is finalized.
Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Come to the shelter
Step 2: Fall in LOVE with a dog
Step 3: Fill out some paperwork (foster application/agreement, adoption application)
Step 4: Take the dog home that same day
Step 5: On Day 15, if you haven’t returned the dog or made an appointment to return it, your adoption application is processed, and the dog is YOURS.
